Sage Journey: Disc 2

This is Sage Journey: Disc 2. This is an updated version of Sage Journey (2023).

This is Tarot deck-based, so you will need a tarot deck to play. You could simulate it with Iterary, by highlighting the name column and copy-pasting it into the "Import Deck" field.

This is a solo TTRPG. "GM-less," as they say. That means you will not need a game master to manage the boundaries. Just follow the rules and guides to determine the outcome.

You are an apprentice sage trying to make it to the Sages' Convention. You've followed Tarot all your life, and your deck will take you through once more.

This version was made for the TTRPG Disc 2 Game Jam by Bannerless Games. The 2023 original was made for Temmon's Tarot TTRPG Jam, and has been my most popular project since it was uploaded. The idea of the TTRPG Disc 2 jam was that entrants would extend commentary and understanding and interpretation on an existing game. I was going to do commentary, but I wanted to take the opportunity to create monster art. All of the new art is done by me. In any case, this game's description will serve as commentary anyway.

Then, I realized, I wanted it to be easier to understand what was going on, so I tried to clean up the rules. Which I could afford to do, because the jam creator extended the deadline twice.

I got rid of the Python 3 script because there are multiple ways to simulate drawing a card to a board, such as Iterary, and map movers such as uploading to Pixlr without an account. And then I conveniently, and unfortunately, found out that my script likely doesn't work anymore due to changes between Python 3.11 and Python 3.12. Which is why I am uploading the raw PNG for the board.

The motto for this version is "more clean and less mean."
